Grilled Lamb with Peaches and Peach Crostata

Peaches, the most beautiful and sensual of fruits are native to China, but grown in almost every country in the world with a cool climate. They are rich in Vitamin A and Potassium apart from many other nutrients. Good for healthy skin, they add color to the complexion. Being so rich in Vitamin A, peaches might help in cancer prevention in organs and glands with epithelial tissue. They are a diuretic therefore helpful with gout and a good source of fiber... But, the best and most grand thing about a peach... is eating it. It has to be freshly picked and ripe, not from the shelves of a supermarket where you are lucky if they ripen at all as they are picked so green. Eating a peach is a sense-filled experience that threatens some as they are called "messy". My perfect way to eat a peach is shirtless, slightly bent over in a garden or on a beach and having the explosion of sweet juice run down my chin and over my fingers, and then... I jump in the ocean. Summer is HERE! Enjoy peaches every day that you can!
